Welcome to Douglas Tupper Photography! I’m Doug Tupper, a photographer from Pella, Iowa, whose love for photography began in 1974 at the age of 13 and has been a lifelong adventure. Now retired, I spend my time volunteering with community groups to showcase the beauty and spirit of Pella and beyond. For me, photography is more than just taking pictures—it’s about telling stories and capturing moments that truly connect. My portfolio highlights vibrant, diverse cultures, showing how photography has shaped me as an artist and strengthened my bond with the Pella community. I’m especially thankful to Visit Pella, Pella Historical Museum, Spirit of Pella and the Pella Opera House for giving me opportunities to attend events and explore places many may never get to see. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see my work make a meaningful impact.
