Welcome to Douglas Tupper Photography! I’m Doug Tupper, a photographer based in Pella, Iowa. My passion for photography started in 1974 when I was 13 years old, and it has been a lifelong journey ever since. Now retired, I focus on working with community groups to highlight the beauty and spirit of the Pella community and beyond. For me, photography isn’t just about taking pictures—it’s about storytelling and capturing moments that truly resonate. My portfolio celebrates vibrant and diverse cultures, reflecting how photography has enriched my growth as an artist and deepened my connection to the Pella community. I’m especially grateful to Visit Pella, Pella Historical Museum, Spirit of Pella and the Pella Opera House for allowing me to attend events and explore places that many may not get the chance to experience. It’s incredibly rewarding to see these groups and have my work have a meaningful impact.
